Delete message?

There doesn't seem to be a delete message option? If you make a post that actually doesn't need to be made (see my post in the C++ tutorial thread :D) there is no way to delete it (to keep the forum tidy).

BTW, why did you go with this forum software rather than (the more popular and common?) vBulletin?

First of all, most forums don't allow your to delete your posts, 'cause it can make following posts irrelevant. Second, we went with this forum 'cause they wanted simplicity, and no bloat...

Alex pretty much has it there.

Deleting posts causes confusion, and is generally frowned upon. Even in moderation, you generally do not want to delete messages. It's much better to just edit your post to something like "EDIT: Sorry, turned out to be completely irrelevant!"

As for the software, yeah, we wanted less bloat. The forum just needs to give us a place to exchange information. We didn't need excessive features, and we didn't want something incredibly complex, in case we wanted to make changes.

Well that's what I went with :)
