Wii Freezes While Running Gecko

I recently decided I wanted to start hacking Mario Kart Wii so I followed a couple tutorial videos and set up an SD card and have the homebrew channel. Now, when I open up the homebrew channel everything works fine. I even can load Gecko 1.9.1 (it says CODES FOUND: APPLYING so good). But once I start playing Mario Kart Wii and I try to pick a course, it freezes. Every time it freezes in the exact same place.

Note: I have tried changing the version of Gecko OS (1.7 and 1.9.1)

Try putting on less codes. A game will generally freeze if it has too many codes applied. Try launching it with just one code. What are your results?

Are you sure, you picked codes for the right version of the game?

Well I figured out my problem, I was using RMCJ01 codes or something as opposed to the RMCE01 codes. It doesnt freeze anymore, but now when I play a race my screen goes black and then nothing happens.

There is no RMCU.

RMCE = North America (I assume the E stands for English)
RMCP = Europe, Australia (I assume the P stands for PAL)
