Is it safe to upgrade to 4.0 after installing IOS51??

Quick question. I have 3.3u and I used the IOS51 installer to get the 3.4 Shop channel without having to actually update to 3.4. But if I try to upgrade to 4.0 through the system menu will my Wii get bricked or anything since I installed IOS51 with an alternate method??

Yeah it's fine, I did the same because there was a game I wanted to buy. Upgraded to 4.0 without any issues.
