Quick Question

If I buy a game and I use the homebrew channel to launch that game and play online since I don't want to update my wii, will I get banned? (No codes or anything, just using homebrew channel to launch the game and play online)

One more thing, is there any possible way to play a game that has an update on there without the homebrew channel or updating your wii?

You won't be banned.

You could use the Homebrew Channel to install Preloader and set it skip disc updates. Then you could launch games from the Disc Channel without updating.

Or, if you don't want to mess with your Wiis boot process, you can use Gecko OS.

yeah, go with Gecko OS, it's safer.

If it comes up with a message with something about updating IOS, say yes.

One more thing, my wii has 3.3 installed on it, do you guys think I should update to 4.0 and use bannerbomb? (I already have the homebrew channel)

You wouldn't need to use bannerbomb, as the Homebrew Channel stays through the update. You can go ahead and update if you really want to (personally, I wouldn't, but you can still use most homebrew with 4.0)
