Update Fail

My 7 year old niece updated my Wii from 3.4E to 4.1E.
...yes she can read.
So anyways... my homebrew channel is dead. and this really annoys me coz i spent a few hours(6) updating it and getting anything cool that i saw online to work.
What are my options to get homebrew back?(no chipping)

not that i know of, i was in my room playing assassins creed on pc, go outside to eat food
look on plasma, screen is updating.
i ask niece why is she updating, she said she was reading the screen and it said to lol.
and then she was gonna just turn it off half way thru...but then that could've bricked the wii. so stopped her from doing that.

so yeh the homebrew channel is still there, but when i attempted to get into it, it black screeened for ages.
so i reset after 5 mins.

is downgrading back possible?

Yeah, but not through ways that are supported here. Not illegal, but not supported.

is there a way to lock the wii from updating.
so say... a child couldn't update?
