StartPatch 4.1 Installation Requirements

Greetings!

I'd like to install StartPatch 4.1 -> [wiibrew.org]

It says that cIOS rev12 or higher and a trucha enabled IOS 36 are required!

Where can I get these and how do I install them?

You only need cIOS 249 for 4.1 and the only way to get that Would be to use CMDVDX34 to downgrade IOS 35. Then use dop-IOS MOD to trucha patch IOS (I believe IOS 36) to install cIOS 249. (someone confirm this)

well, I would run TBR, downgrade IOS15, install a bugged IOS36, restore IOS15, then use DOP-IOS to DOP IOS60, and then install cIOS. That's how I did it at least

i have preloader installed can i use startpatch? My wii is 4.0u

Thanks a lot, this worked for me.

I'm running System Menu 4.1.

I used the Trucha Bug Restorer to ->
1. Downgrade IOS15 (using the original IOS36)
2. Install a patched IOS36 (using the downgraded IOS15)
3. Restore IOS15 (using the now patched IOS36)

Then I used the Dop-IOS MOD to dop IOS60 and finally installed cIOS38 rev. 14 (cIOS 249) using the patched IOS36.

(Using CMDVDX34 as suggested by Topgun96 did not work for me.)

No, because StartPatch tries to edit the System Menu .dol, which is moved by preloader. But you dont need it. All StartPatch hacks (i think) can be done with preloader hacks.ini. You have to install startpatch first if you want both.

No problem! I got some error message when trying CMDVDX34 - I think it wasn't able to initialize the network. Maybe some server that is down.
