Updated to 4.1U, homebrew channel doesn't work

I updated my system menu to install the new internet channel. Now when I go to load the homebrew channel, all I get is a blank screen, my wiimote does nothing, and the only way to reset things is to unplug the Wii and plug it back in.

Solutions?

Did you update through nintendo or just install the 4.1 system menu?

I tried to follow link to install ios60 using bannerbomb to install homebrew. But no success. My WII is soft moded from 3.4 to 4.1.

During IOS 60 install, it tried to download new revision from network and it returned some error, is this normal and we should ignore? I ignored and went to next step, bootmii was still trying to use IOS 35 for hbc. That goes back to the same problem, can't launch hbc

Better solution: Use the HackMii Installer 0.5 to reinstall the HBC.

Hackmii installer works fine and can uninstall and reinstall HBC/DVDx/Bootmii as IOS. But once installation completes and hit exit button, it freezes. Power cycle WII and I can see home brew channel, BUT if I launch it, it freezes again.

One thing is clear to me, Hack MII is trying to install home brew on IOS 35. During soft mod process, tried to downgrade IOS35, downgrade successful but upgrading to v1040 failed. So I used another method which uses IOS15. Everything went smooth including cIOS and 417 system upgrade.

Another question, If I check your post about IOS60. Why to install IOS 60 when HBC using IOS 35.

The HBC will use IOS60 if it is installed.

Updated IOS35 to the latest revision using DOP-IOS-MOD app (used IOS 249 to update IOS 35) and resolved the problem. IOS 35 was at older version 1040.
