Question

Let's say that i want to update my wii but first i want to install bootmii and HBC
I'm on 4.1 and i will use the hackmii installer v0.5 if i ever want to install
the question is
if i update after installing, will everything related to homebrew be erased?
(remember i'm using the newest hackmii installer)
second question
if i already installed the newest bootmii in my 4.1 wii and do a nand backup, then update but my wii gets bricked by the 4.2 update, can i still have acces to bootmii and make a NAND restore?

I'm just being curious, i don't want to update, i just want to know what would happen

Two words: DON'T UPDATE. One more word: EVER.

Don't even think about updating.
A lot of changes and possible problems of 4.2 are not even known / examined yet.
It's not worth it.

Not sure about Bootmii but the new DVDx and HBC won't get deleted if you installed them with the newest installer. If your wii gets bricked by the update you cannot restore your NAND with Bootmii. You can also read those pages linked above to get some other information.

EDIT: I read in another thread that bootmii is deleted when updating
and i have another question:
Can i I use bannerbomb to load the hackmii installer v 0.5?
(I'm still on 4.1)
