How do you remove the Wii System Update message from the disc channel?

I can't find anything that just lets you delete the update warning, any ideas? Also, can this be done without using preloader?

yeah, that's where i screwed up; i tried to load an import and forgot to run gecko.. but now i get that annoying update reminder. i'm wanting that gone, and i've looked around but it looks like preloader is the only thing that will make it go away.
