SD partitioning and the Homebrew Channel

I've been trying to install xwhiite on my SD card, and it calls for partitioning my SD card. I've done this, but now none of my apps are appearing on the HBC(I have them in the partiton labled boot, mind you.

to run the wiilinux distros you just need 2 partitons of decent size... say 512mb fat as partition one (aka create this first) then 1.5gb of ext2/3 afterwards (create this second) you dont need to lable the partition? i never had to.
also make sure you use the latest kernel or it will be sloooow

Okay, done that. However, when I boot the kernel, it says it cannot initiate the console, and the kernel pannicks. Help?
