Bit of an odd thing I need help with.

I don't really use my Wii much anymore, I'd like to revert it back to a standard non-homebrew Wii. (It's currently hacked up the wazoo with 3.2 firmware, bootmii, and other bizzare modules and such).

Problem is I have no idea how to go about doing this. I would think just firmware update it, but I heard there were problems with it that Nintendo refused to fix.

How do I make my Wii standard again?

If you update the Wii (via standard update method) to 4.2, it should get rid of all cIOS. If you have the latest Homebrew Channel, DVDx, and/or Bootmii/boot2, just uninstall it with the Hackmii installer.

I heard that the update bricks Wiis, How likely is that to happen?

Not very likely at all, unless you like playing jump-rope with your wii's power cord. :D

As long as the power doesn't go out, you're fine.
