i just updated my wii after like a year with no updates and ive had homebrew for a year and nothing happened i had wii update 3.4 is this common?

you updated to 4.2 and nothing happened?

If you had the latest build of the HackMii install things (Homebrew Channel 1.0.6) using Bannerbomb v2, then those would have no effects put on them when updated.
