Homebrew Channel not recognizing Hard Drive?

Hello, I have an external Hard Drive with several partitions on it. I am unable to get the Homebrew Channel to recognize files on my FAT32 partition.

I have the file structure set up exactly as my SD Card but it will not show in the Homebrew Channel.
I have tried formatting the partition under windows and os x, but I can not get any apps to show in the Homebrew Channel. My partition is the first of the three on my disk, and when I load homebrew from the SD Card, the hard drive is recognized by applications. I am running version 1.0.6. Any ideas of why this isn't working.

If anyone is curious why I want to ditch the SD Card, the reason is that the slot mechanism on the wii has poor contact with the SD card and I have to literally hold it in place if i want to load any homebrew.

USB devices won't usually work with homebrew apps, AFAIK.

Your FAT32 partition must be your first partition.
