Updating my Wii with Monster Hunter Tri?

So I just got Monster Hunter Tri, clearly from the thread title, and I was wondering if it'd be alright to update to 4.2 with it.
Right now I have 3.3u, I believe (The Brawl Update), and I have (What I believe to be) the latest HBC Channel installed. I'm fine with using Gecko and all to run my games but I was just wondering if I can update without having to reinstall HBC. And I I can't what steps would I need to take in order to get my Wii back up and running Homebrew.

Just update to the latest HBC before installing 4.2, and if you have Bootmii as Boot2 installed then reinstall it after the update.

Does Monster Hunter Tri even have 4.2? I figured it'd probably be 4.1 with 4.2 IOS, like NSMB.

I made a back up with bootmii but I couldn't install it as boot2 for some reason...But I do plan on trying this out over the weekend and I'll report back if it works. If not, I'll be curled up in a ball crying in a corner somewhere :p
