Wii homebrew effects on a DSi. Are they ill?

I am getting a DSi XL for Christmas. Thing is, money's kinda tight until the following month, and I may need to use my 4GB SDHC SD card I use for Wii homebrew to house DS data temporarily until I get another card for it. Will the DSi recognize the homebrew?

No, Wii homebrew won't be recognized at all. You can still use the card for both though
