App idea concerning channels/saved games

Selfishly, I admit there's an app I'd love to see created. Something like SD explorer but it would identify channel/save data on the SD card (or even from the internal Wii memory, if possible) and would allow easy backup. Instead of memorizing which folders full of BINs corresponds to what, why not a program that lets you back up a save file or channel to a single file that can be later restored? The files could be stored in a different directory on the SD card or a USB drive. Also, I suppose a desktop version might make more sense for some people. Either way, if something similar already exists I'd appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction.

It's just kind of annoying having a 200MB "private" folder I have to re-copy to my SD card each time I need to back up/restore channels/saves.

EDIT: I forgot to mention, I'm not a programmer (I dabbled in the past but it's just not my thing), so I really wouldn't be able to do it myself. :\
