Twilight hack / homebrew channel

Hi, I'm having trouble installing the homebrew channel on my wii. Here's my current setup:

• Computer: Mac OSX 10.5.5
• Wii: system menu 3.4
• Canon 16m FAT12 sd card
• Sd card:
/boot.dol
/private/wii/app/RSBE/al/al_090101_1017.bin
/private/wii/app/RSBE/al/al_090101_1357.bin
/private/wii/title/FB2N/content.bin
/private/wii/title/rzde/data.bin
/private/wii/title/rzdj/data.bin
/private/wii/title/rzdp/data.bin
/wiiload (the osx version)

Is it possible to reformat the sd card using my mac (the official format tool is pc-only)?
Do I have to buy a new SD card?

I searched around a lot for the answers, couldn't find them.

Erm, that's not exactly a clear response.

Everything you mentioned is fine, but the card needs to be FAT16 or FAT32, which generally means > 32MB.

Sorry bushing. I'll watch my clarity. To rephrase what I said: It notes here [wiibrew.org] under troubleshooting that Cannon SD cards are known to have issues with the twilight hack.

Oh, now I get it.

It's not that "Canon SD cards" are of poor quality, it's that Canon ships small SD cards with their camera, which means that the cards end up formatted as FAT12, and fail. hugalhuhlagh.

Proposal: A version of the Twilight Hack that bundles the HBC installer, to avoid these SD issues.
