System Update Issue

So, I was going to the Wii Shop channel to redeem a code from Club Nintendo when it asked me to get the latest System Menu.
I just want to ask if any of you know if it's safe to update my Wii; like I've said before I only have emulators on my SD Card to play on the Homebrew Channel and haven't really modified anything else besides that.

Is there by any chance a new System Menu 4.4? I've checked on Google and skimmed through the Wiki to see if there was any information on it but no luck.

I can post more to this if more information is needed.

It's really just an update to the Shop Channel, there is no new System Menu. It is definitely safe to perform a System Update.

As long as your Homebrew Channel is on the latest version, there is nothing to worry about when updating.
