Wii Connect24 vs Softmod

First of all can i say a BIG thank you to all those developers / programmers and staff members here and within the Wii "hacking" community.

I have got a homebrewed wii done via the twilight hack and downgraded to version 3.2E.

My question is; shall i connect to wii connect24?. I have read allsorts but no definitive answer has been given regarding its safety.

I only want to connect to wii connect24 for the novelty factor and sending messages to other wii consoles/friends.

Is it worth it? - i would not want to brick my brewed wii at all.

you aren't on 3.4... so you should be fine...
