Gameboy Advance games on wii

Hi All,

My son has a Gameboy Advance and we have accumulated several nice games for that [HP, Lord of the rings, Ice age etc]. Since these games were not cheap too, I would like to know if I can put it to use with the wii?

Any special plug/adapter to buy to plug in the GBoy Adv. to wii?

We have an emulator called vbagx you can play the games with.

thanks for the reply arikado. I saw the guide in youtube. I guess it's too much of a hassle. I would let my son continue to use the GBA itself.

Its not that much of a hassle. Hardest part is installing the homebrew channel. I'll walk you through it if you want.

Its really not so hard, but its a lot less confusing when your talking to someone who's done it before.

All you have to do is put a few things on an SD card, and press A like 6 times.

oh ok. So I can be confident it will not brick my wii right? and what if after the install, I don't want it, do I just delete the install file?

oh, another questions, will the wii use only 2GB sd cards or can I get something bigger later?

No one has ever bricked their Wii installing homebrew. If you dont want the channel after install, you may delete it from the Wiis memory. The only remains of it will be the logs in the play history on the Wii Message Board.

you can run some hardware from SDHC cards larger that 2 gigs, but it depends from app to app.
the games can be played off of a USB drive, data DVD or external USB HDD.

I have HB browser and HBC installed already

You can actually install vbagx via the homebrew browser.

oh ok do I browse and download the program to the apps folder and install it there, without having to remove the sd card to the pc again right?

Right. Its under the emulators section of the homebrew browser.
