Will Homebrew void my warranty?

This si a really old question, yes, but I couldn't find the answer anywhere. I need to send my Wii in for repair because it has a hard time reading discs, and I would like Nintendo to fix it.

just a little doubt:
if I format my wii, will ALL traces of Homebrew Channel disappear?
in other words, if I have to send the console back to nintendo, could I format it to be sure that no one can know that
a homebrew channel was installed?

Hi,
My Wii didn't read disks anymore and I wanted to send it back to nintendo. I first deleted the hack and the homebrew channel and all of that. Then to be sure, I erased everything on the Wii and send it to Nintendo last monday.
I was a littIe nervous though because I thought they may see it and it would void my warranty so I had to pay them for fixing it, but I got a brand new Wii from them today!
So the answer is definetily NO it will NOT void the warranty!
I even got new warranty from today!

Unfortunately I have another problem now...
I now have softwareversion 4.0 and there's no available hack yet, so I hope that will be fixed soon :(

No, you're absolutely wrong.

Installing the HBC does void your Wiis waranty. Nintendo just simply didnt notice you had once had it installed.
