New to Hombrewing. Lots to know

I play the wii alot and would really be disapointed if it bricked. Here are some questions i have
1) What is the chance of my wii bricking DURING twilight hack

2) How can a wii get bricked beside playing games outside my region

3) Can this badly damage my wii
4) what devices can prevent/recover a bricked wii

5) Have you had any problems after installing the homebrew channel

6) Would you recommend me doing this based on this information: I cant replace my wii (only gaming system owned), i play it alot, i would hate to see it bricked, and never hacked before
