Apps???

I downloaded some stuff, put it on my sd card in the apps folder, but it wont run! i go to the homebrew channel after saving on my sd card, i put it in the wii and theres nuthing there. its just a screen with bubbles... and a flashing icon in the corner... lol >.<

make sure they are named "boot.dol" or "boot.elf" depending on what the file type already is...
