I'm not even sure if this is possible but here goes.

What I want to do is subvert the internal memory on the wii (where games are saved) and replace it with a directory on an SD card (say /saves). This would then allow me to keep my saved games safe from interferrence of others (eg little brother).

Anyone got any ideas on where to start or if a suitable app already exists?

there is no such app now... perhaps this will be possible when bootmii comes out.
that would take the work of recreating part of the NAND I think..
It would be usefull also for more room for channels, and hacked channels (in cheats or control)

ok, and i just wanted it to stop my little brother messing with my saved games. I hadnt thourght it would be so usefull.

I have an idea, would it work if I could create my own channel like the disk chanel but instead of directing the save data and the wii if i directed it at the SD.

or else would it be possable to make a pice of code that does this useing the main disk chanel?

Ok, I have an idea, I am going to set up a development team. Anyone intrested in helping make this app please post here. Then once we have enugh people we can sort out contacting eachother to work together to make the app.

can you do any coding? More than likely, no one will help you if you are just an organizer...that's how coders are! :)

umm....simple solution, copy your saves to the SD card after you get done playing.
when you go to play again, copy them back.

use these apps to deal with no copy flagged saves:

Yes i can code, i just am not good enugh to do this sort of project alone.

Thats not what i want to do because it take too much time (eg it took 20 min to copy my animal crossing game). I realy wanted to make this app because it is simple to run and will work quickly and effectivly.Is there anyone who can help me?
