please help me

my wii fit plus just arrived today nd when i try to play it ,it says that i need to update my wii(I dont want to update my wii though,i just downgraded my wii to 3.2U)
i searched the internet and ppl say gecko os blocks updates or something like that,but im not sure..
please help me..

DON'T DOWNGRADE! Update through Nintendo Wi-Fi, and then run it.

EDIT: after making a NAND backup in Bootmii/Boot2.

i dont get it..
i downgraded so i can get the homebrew channel..
but i dont want to upgrade it..wont it block homebrew installations?
i just want to know if theres any way i can block updates

so if i get the nand backup thingy,it will block all nintendo system updates?

No updates have removed homebrew, except 4.2 which was easily bypassed. Update HBC to 1.0.5 or above (if you have Wi-Fi on the Wii, the HBC will connect to the update server and ask for updates), make a NAND backup in Bootmii/Boot2, and update through Nintendo.
