newb!

hi!

i just joined here today, a friend send me a link to this forum from lj. anymoo, i've been having trouble trying to install homebrew channel on my wii so that i can hack onto my animal crossing. well, at first i did everything that my friend told me...downloading the Bannerbomb and HackMii installer. well, when i downloaded the files and save them on my sd card and did everything the site told me...my wii froze. then i went under youtube to see if i can find a upgraded version of the homebrew channel for my wii system 4.2u. i did and downloaded it and i was able to get the homebrew channel on my wii without any problems. until i started having issues with the save installer/extractor. whenever i place it on my sd card under apps...it won't work. the homebrew channel is just blank...nothing. i need help! serious help. can anyone who has the upgraded version for wii 4.2u can send me the link with all the apps install so that i won't have to go through this problem again, i was trying to fix it all day. help!!!

you need to extract the zip file before using the app!

Is there a boot.dol in the app folders?

yep there was a boot.dol in the app folder. i did everything that the person told me on youtube and it still doesn't work D=

ROOT/apps/savegame_installer/boot.dol

ROOT/apps/savegame_installer/boot.dol ???

can you show me step by step on how to correctly install the homebrew channel and have all the apps on there so that i can hack into my game (animal crossing)...i just found out that i shouldn't updated but i did and they do have a homebrew update for 4.2u. so yeah, can you show me step by step on how to correctly place it on my sd card. plz and thank you =D

You must create the apps folder as apps not any of these:

Apps aPPs AppS etc.

it is case sensitive.
you can als download them from the homebrew browser

Well, it needs to be. Let me put it this way:

Double click on your SD card (AKA, removable disc drive).
Is there a folder called "apps"? If so, double click on it.
Is there a folder called "savegame_installer"? If so, double click on it.
Is there a file called "boot.dol" inside?
