No More Heroes 2 requires me to update, what do I do?

I recently bought NMH2, but the system requires me to update to play. Im worried that my Wii will get bricked, or HBC wont work anymore after the update.

My Wii is currently 3.2 and my HBC is version 1.0.6.

Should I delete HBC, update, and then re-install it?

Just update. Your Wii will not be bricked (that is, if you didn't downgrade) and HBC will still work.
