Homebrew Beta8

I searched for some information here, but didn't find an answer, hope I'm posting in the correct forum.

I have Beta8 installed on my Wii which is at system menu 3.2 with drive chip installed.

My question is, are there any advantages/disadvantages of upgrading?
Am I missing out on any needed features by not upgrading?

I have read the change logs but I am not a really big homebrew user, just a few apps/games occasionally.

Would I be able to install BootMii using Beta8 if I wanted to?

It really doesnt matter much, but you may as well just update. There's no reason not to. Also, if you are going to use bootmii, you would use the Hackmii Installer, which installs the latest Homebrew Channel.

Thanks, I have read that the hackmii installer had the newest version of HBC, that's kind of why I was asking.
