HBC problems
June 04, 2009 03:11PM
1. When I power down / reset button my Wii due to an app freezing (mainly Mplayer); HBC says I have version 1.0.1 and have to download 1.0.3 again... Ive done this like 10 times in the past week... and when I say NO dont update, the version IS 1.0.1 and not the 1.0.3 that Ive downloaded

2. Also HBC isnt refreshing when swap SD cards, I have to restart HBC by going to the Wii menu to get HBC to see the new SD card inserted... reloading will sometimes get HBC to see the new card...

any ideas on why these things are happening ?

The update method used by that version of the HBC probably isnt compatible with your system menu. I'm assuming you're on 4.0 If you really want to update, launch the HackMii Installer from the Homebrew Channel.

The card doesnt refresh itself. You have to manually press reload. Thats normal, as in, thats whats supposed to happen.

Possibly your card is dying, I'd try saving what you can to your PC/Mac and then reformatting it...

FAT 16 (AKA FAT). However, FAT 32 if it's an SDHC card.

Try formatting it to FAT first. If that doesn't work out, I'll see if I can find a tool for FAT 32 for you.

Having the same issues... no applications will run. Did you find a solution to your problems?

I think the problem is that my sd card is over heating! I let it cool down for a while and it is working now but am not sure if it will last. if the problem isnt overheating then it has to be FAT 32 and I can't find a mac application that will do that let me know if you find one or if not I will work my hardest to find a solution. Thanks for the help

Alright it worked for about 10 minutes and then it reverted to the same problems I will try to find the problem and fix it then share the results with all of the people that have the same problems
