Ok, so I updated my Wii...

Alright, so after I heard it's ok to update my Wii to 4.0, (from 3.4) I did, but now when I try to access the Homebrew Channel, the screen goes black, and my Wii remote turns off. This isn't really the problem for me, because there's always the Bammerbomb method. My question is, should I delete the Homebrew Channel off of my SD card before I do this? Also, will I be able to keep my files (or my apps I mean)?

Your homebrew channel is on the wii not the SD card, and your apps are on your sd card, so yes to both of your questions about those topics...
I updated my brother to 3.4 and the new HBC and he cannot have 2 Wiimotes connected at the same time in HBC or any apps launched from HBC.

Expada: Perhaps try uninstalling and then reinstalling the homebrew channel?
