help me. I want to install HBC

Hi

I have nintendo wii.(manufactured in 2009. 6, korea v3.5)

I copied Bootmii beta2 installer & bannerbomb alpha file(the newest add1f_108.zip) to my SD memory card(2GB, LG brand),and I followed the way(in bannerbomb site) of HBC installation.

When I saw a massage "Load Boot.dol/elf?", press the "A" button.

But My wii's screen became black and system is stop.

So I used another older version of Bootmill installer, But my wii respond to error massage "-2011".

So I tried to install IOS36, But my wii respond to error massage "-1035".

Warez Removed

What should I do? Please Help me.

You do not need to install any IOSes. Downgrading is not going to help you, and especially not SoftMii. Now please, explain the contents of your SD card.

Have you tried a different version of bannerbomb?

Yes, I tried to use another version of bannerbomb, but I could not install HBC. Because of installinng error(ret = -2011).

And I search for clue.(Bannerbomb is not working in WII manufactured after 2009. 06). but I don't know it is true or false.

It MAY be because it's Korean, I think I read somewhere they can have problems with Homebrew, but I'm not 100% sure

Bannerbomb should work fine. His SD Card just isn't set up right.

Although I did it many times(the same way you teach me), but I will try to install one more time after work.

I worry about rumours that Bannerbomb may be not working WII sales in KOREA&manufactured after 2009. 06.

It should work just fine, as there is nothing about your Wii that could keep it from working, but bannerbomb is finicky. Have you tried every version?

Yes, I have tried every version of bannerbombs(many times..again and again..for five days.. ). but I could not install homebrew channel.

When I saw "Load boot.dol/elf?" Massage, then I pushed "A" butten, My wii's screen became black and system was freeze.

And you have a boot.dol/elf in the root of your card, right?

I tried that just now, but I failed in the installation of homebrew channel.

Recently In korea, some people have trouble with installing homebrew channel.

And include me, they have something in common.

Common things :

1. They bought nintendo wii in korea.
2. They bought nintendo wii after 2009. 6.17.
3. Initial system version is 3.5k.
4. Serial Number is LKM1056XXXXXXX ~ LKM1057XXXXXXX.

What is the problem?
Someones told me that "If you bought wii after 2009.6.17(serial number is above 1056XXXXX), you cannot install homebrew channel."
Is it true or false?

Try booting into LoadMii and then botting the HackMii installer.

I tried booting into LoadMii3.0 and then booting the Hackmii installer.

But the message below turns on the screen, my wii was freeze.

Format : ELF
loading section .text.0 @ 0x80004000 (0x00164a60 bytes)

What is the problem? Please help me. I suffered from that for 7 days. Please..

Finally, I did it!! : )

I can use homebrew channel and apps.

Maybe Nintendo Korea corp. have manufactured and sold special WIIs in Korea.(It is : The initial system version is 3.5k, manufactured after 2009.06.17, serial number is above 1056XXXXXXXXX )

besides a common solution that you give to me, To install homebrew channel in my wii, I did some additional actions.

I think that It seems that Homebrew Channel Installer need to be patched up for Korea WII users.

I followed below the linked page procedures.

(That page is writted in Korea language.)

I could install homebrew channel and homebrew apps using that ways, but If you are a beginner, I recommend that wait for better homebrew installers(ex.bootmill, bannerbomb) coming out.
Because I don't know the exact reason yet why my WII(and your WII) was not installed with nomal steps, and that linked page's author warns users it may be cause serious system errors.
