Well, i updated and it didn't. Along with a load of other people.

i also read a blog that said if u have the HBC there comes a time where u need to update and it will brick your wii

Sorry. Just go ahead and do it, it won't brick your wii. I'm basically 99.999999999999999999999999999% sure that it won't brick your wii, but anything is possible.

Yeah, if you have bootmii installed as boot2, its virtually impossible to brick your wii and not be able to fix it. Its bundled in with the hackmii installer, you might not be able to install it though...

Because to install it as boot2, you need to have a vulnerable boot1. Most newer wii's have a newer version of boot1, thus not being able to install bootmii as boot2. I all depends on how old your wii is. When did you get your wii? If you got it in mid-08, you'll probably be fine, but it should tell you on the hackmii installer if you can install it or not.

Actually, if you had it as boot2, you'd know, because it boots to a new screen (bootmii) instead of the system menu.
