Running 3.4 preparing to experiment with homebrew

Hi,

I'm currently on the 3.4 System Menu and ready to go into the homebrew route. Will it be easier if I just go ahead and update it to 4.0 and use bannerbomb, or just leave it as it is and use the Twilight Hack?

You can use the Twilight Hack while you're on 3.4 and then update to 4.0 after, or you could use bannerbomb on either 3.4 or 4.0. Either way would work. In my opinion bannerbomb is easier, but the Twilight Hack is more reliable.

3.4 has the same status for homebrew (minus TP hack) as 4.0. updating wouuld probably be good. you gat the SD card menu, SDHC in menu support, etc.

But beware, 4.1 is just around the corner.

it's here for Japanese wii's, and no changes are made (as far as we can see)

Prolly 4.1U and 4.1E will never happen since the Wii Sports bug should be fixed in the game before it releases in those areas.

Even if the bug can be fixed in-game (do we know enough details to tell?),
I guess, the DVDs for the rest of the world are already mastered and being pressed.

On the other hand: how "old" is the update? what's the internal build date.
Maybe they realised the bug weeks, or months ago.
