DVD installer error
July 04, 2009 04:13AM
I have successfully installed Hack mii installer, Homebrew browser

When I tried to install the DVDx program, to view dvd's with the wii it gave me an error. So, I downloaded the PatchMii IOS (IOS254) and it gives me a similar error - 2011. Any idea how to prevent the error

The screen shows the following:

DVD Stub Installer v0.2
Copyright (C) 2008 marcan, bushing, erant, svpe

Installing DVD stub with Patch Mii IOS (IOS254)...
loading DVD Stub...
fixing up TMD signature...
Installing DVD stub ticket...
Error -2011 installing dvd stub ticket
Error -2011 installing stub

Any Ideas on how to resolve so that I can view DVDs on the wii?

I have no mod chip.
My firmware version is 4.0 the newest one.

with 4.0 you can't use patchmii anyway.

i get the same error as hyznymt - 2011 I have looked everywhere for quite a few hours and can not find any workaround. I HAD Waninkoko installed - have since deleted it from my sd card will this get rid of it altogether for me? Sorry if this is a dumb question - i am new at this stuff. And thanks for this forum - i have learned heaps. I have 3.4 E. with no mod chip. i found another app on my card that was waninkoko and deleted it and problem is gone. You guys rock - i would never have figured it out by myself.

no deleting it from your SD card wont delete it. Its probably all over your Wii's internal files. Well, if you're lucky its only cIOS, which should be easy to remove (i think)

any ideas on how to remove cIOS ? i had a cios file in the root of the sd card for a while ( i can give you the file name if you need it) - its gone now - i think it was connected to a wad file thing WHICH I HAVE DELETED so please dont hassle me about wads( I'm not even sure what they are in fact) - it was one of the first things i put on there then i realised that i couldnt use it so i deleted it. (I am a real noob about these things).
Please, one more question - how do i navigate through the bootmii menu? I thought i remembered reading something about using the power button on the wiimote but it does nothing for me. The wiimote just flashes then turns off. Thank you so much for all the info and work you guys have done in general.

Update - i think that bootmii is freezing and its not the wiimote at all - will investigate further in this forum for that one. I say this cause it wont return to the hbc menu when i press the home button.

You might be able to use anytitle deleter to delete the cIOS....

To navigate the bootmii menu, you use the power/reset buttons on the wii. Power is scroll, and reset is select. Hope that helps!! :D

Edit: If you have bootmii as an IOS, I think you need to use a gamecube controller.

Use the POWER and RESET buttons on the Wii Console to navigate the BootMii Menu.

If you installed BootMii as an IOS, you need to use a GameCube controller.

No it won't. Unless you have an active N64 to Gamecube Controller adapter
