BootMii AND preloader?

hi ppl!

well just want to know, if i have BootMii installed, is there any reason to install preloader too?

i mean lets say i bricked my wii but i have the NAND.bin file on my SD card from before, i can just load it and everything will be fine again?

or its possible that something will go wrong and ill need to use preloader or something...

Yup. There's really no need for preloader.

I still use preloader, for the hacks and i use it to boot a dol instead of going straight to the home menu,
I have bootmii screen suppressed, with preloader loading wiihome.

use StartPatch for hacks it is much better because it will not let the disc spin forever

that only happens if you use preloader on 4.0 (4.1 fixes it)

so if you have preloader on 4.1 the disc doesnt spin forever?

thats what i heard.. i havent tried it myself because i dont need preloader

Starpatch doesnt make you reinstall the system menu to remove it, right?

No start patch can repatch the values it patches back to the original values. You just re-run the program and uninstall the hacks you no longer want.

Well i dont actually see the preloader screen, I have used it a few times when something messed up, but like it said it boots wiihome, so there is no disk spinning.

No, I think the disc spinning is when you're on the System Menu or something, not on the preloader screen.

It happens when the Wii is in Standby mode.

Ahh. Never really understood when it did it.
