Homebrew Channel Not Loading Past the Bubble Screen

I am new to this, and I was excited that I finally unlocked my Wii this morning (3:30 am), but now I can't figure out how to actually use the emulators that this site advertises, nor can I figure out how to view any applications on the homebrew channel. Could you please help me and give me step-by-step instructions, because, like I said, I'm completely new to this. Thank you so much. I greatly appreciate it.

do you have internet on your Wii? if so, download the homebrw browser here. see that folder? copy it into the "apps" folder on your SD. if there isn't one, make one. otherwise, go here.
