3.3E on a virgin Wii. Shall I upgrade to 4.2 before installing HBC ?

Hi.

I have a second hand Wii with 3.3E and I'd like to install HBC on it [Removed as against forum rules. Sorry]. I like the fact that it can actually run Homebrew apps

1) Should I update to 4.2 and install HBC or should I leave it to 3.3 instead ??

Sorry to ask stupid questions but there are so many forums that it's actually difficult to pick out the right information. Some are contradicting each other.

Backups are not supported here. (Just like on the homepage!)
Yes you can update. Just use the latest hackmii installer.

PS: Gecko OS Wont play backups.

Update to 4.2, use bannerbombv2 to run HackMii Installer and install HBC, DVDx, and BootMii as boot2 if you can (seeing as you're on 3.3, you must have a reasonably old Wii so can probably install BootMii as boot2).
