4.2 updated and Hackmii not responding
November 05, 2009 07:03AM
Hey guys,

My borther left wii connect24 and it updated my wii to 4.2. When I turned it on, my Homebrew channel was gone, and in settings, my firmware is now 4.2E.

But when I try getting HackMii 0.6 to start, it won´t, after I insert my sd card there is no response. Isn't it suppose to load up when you go to load automatically?

Can any one help me out??

1. Leaving WiiConnect24 on will NOT update your Wii. You must physically accept the update.
2. Your Homebrew Channel got deleted because it was not the newest version.
3. I'm not sure what you expect, but Bannerbomb (which I'm assuming is how you're trying to run the HackMii installer) is not automatic. You must go to the SD Menu.

Yes I did open the sd menu, but nothing happens after that.

Sorry I know i sound like an idiot, I'm not to familiar with the wii.

Check that there is there is only one folder in each other folder, in the "private folder". If you know what I mean.

Also, you need to use bannerbomb v2 and go to the SD card menu.

Download BannerBomb V2 and Dop-IOS Mod v6.
Put on the SD CARD.
Run Dop-ios (through Banner Bomb v2).
Choose and load IOS 250.
then go on IOS36
press the ( - ) on the wii remote
once it finish instaling, the old v1042
Put in the Sd Card and launch boot.elf from the hackmii.
and should work perfectly!!

Okay, just follow my instructions:

Download Dop-IOS MOD, and once you download it, extract it. Take the boot.dol file, and drag it to the root of your SD card. If there already is a boot.dol/boot.elf on the root of your SD card, remove it.

Download Bannerbomb v2, and put the private folder on the root of your SD card. If you already have a private on the root of the SD card, temporarily rename it to "privateold", or something.

Launch Bannerbomb on your wii by going to the SD card menu, and Dop-IOS MOD should load..
