Hi there i recently bought a wii for my downstairs entertainment lounge.
you know how it is.

i was wanting advice on a few things im about to go buy a sd card and a reader to load homebrew onto the wii

my plan is to be able to run backup games of a external HDD and play them on the wii. and put dvd movies into the wii and be able to watch them.

any guides and tutorials on howto accomplish this would be much appreciated. my wii is not connected through wifi so has not been updated at all.

the serial number for my wii is as follows: LAH 10329177

I do not intend to connect my wii through wifi at any point of time
thankyou

We do not support backups here so we will not help you with that.

As for DVD playback, install the HBC and DVDx with bannerbomb and the hackmii installer. Then use Mplayer CE to launch the DVD.

You can find everything you need Here.

Hello, looking for some help.

I installed the HBC and DVDx with bannerbomb already, and now I'm trying to install the Mplayer CE 0.0.76 once I open the HBC it gives me the option to Lauch the app "Mplayer CE" so I select it, then it goes to a black screen and on top it says "Loding MPlayer 0.0.76....." and thats it. It stays like that for long time.

Is that normal or how long does it take to load?

Please help..

How are you launching it?

1. I click on HBC then start
2. I only see the MPlayer tap, I click on it
3. I get a window with the MPlayer details. And on the bottom it has Delete, Load, or Back
4. So I choose Load, then I get a black screen with "Loading MPlayer 0.076...."
And nothing changes for a long time

Is what I'm doing right or wrong? Or maybe there is another way?

Thanks

Everything seems to be going right, on your end, anyways
Try to launch Super Mario War Wii from your SD card. If it won't load, your SD card is not compatible with those applications.
