sound card

Hi, I keep getting this sound card does not work with this device? I thought a regular sd card would work? It says scan disk and it has 2 gigs. Or do I have the wrong thing. Which one do I need? Thanks for any help.

I have version 3.4 if that helps.

Maybe I mean scan disk. That is what it says and it is 2 gigs. Sorry I am new to this.

Are you sure you don't mean "Sandisk?"

I had formatted the scan disk on fat 32. When I copied the files I didn't copy the win rar file. I unrar it and copied the files and folders to the scan disk. Or maybe I shouldn't have copied the folder just the files?

... and yes the SD card will work I have the exact same on in my Wii right now.

I tried it again and it still says the device inserted can not be used in this slot. I thought I did the right steps but I will try it again.

Have you tried to put anything on it yet?

Yes the files are on there.

I unzipped it before I put it in the sd

so you have /private/wii/title/atkn/content.bin on your thumbdrive

Yes content is on there. Is there only suppose to be 2 files? Or do I need the wii load in the hackmii installer folder?

Pjust put the private folder and the boot.elf on the root of your SD card.

I put the whole private folder in there and boot.elf And I'm still getting the same message. I'll just keep checking the steps. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. After I put in the sd I go to channels and sd. When I click on sd that is when I get that device message.

I think I'm gonna try the sd that says for the wii. I know it doesn't matter which sd I have but I know I"m doing the right steps and it's driving me nuts lol Maybe it's picky on the sd because I have an older version of the wii 3.4

I even watched a utube video of this version and still got the same message so it must be the sd.

Re-format the card to just FAT instead of FAT32 before you buy a new card. Your Wii may not like FAT32 for w/e reason.
