Help!!!

Hello i got a wii for christmas.

I saw stuff about homebrew and absoutly want it!!!!!!

But it is risky.

I got questions and can someone please answer all of them.

1) What do i get? There are alot of programs in the installer and what ones are safe.

2) Can i brick my wii from homebrew by updateing my wii through nintendo?

3) Can i play online with my wii or will i brick it with homebrew.

4) Can i download games off homebrew. (call of duty, spore hero)

5) What is that Dvdx thing?

6) If i just install homebrew will i mod it?

7) is there any way just to get homebrew without modding wii?

8) Is any of this stuff safe?

No, its not.

1.) There are lots of apps. See this for a list.
2.) No
3.) Yes, you can safely play online.
4.) Not legally, no. We will not help you with piracy.
5.) DVDx enables the ability to play dvds not signed by Nintendo on your wii.
6.) Yes, the installation of the HBC is a modification...I'm not quite sure what you mean.
7.) No.
8.) Yes. Installing homebrew is safe. Basically, if you mess with things and you don't know what they are/what they do, then it isn't safe. So just use your judgement. If you don't know what something is, then don't install/modify it. This is just my opinion.

The Hackmii installer is safe to use. Other than that, any program that does not make changes to your wii is safe.

Only if you downgrade and then update with a game disc or region change a Korean wii.

You can play online, but if you cheat online, you may be banned.

You do not need to modify the hardware to install homebrew.
