Updates that block homebrew

Hi, i have been told that some of the updates issued with games can block the home brew channel and all other homebrew from working. Forst off, is this true, secondly what games have this update and thirdly, other than preloader is there another way to stop the update? thanks.

Various updates have been released that can block homebrew, and every update since 3.3 has tried to. Workarounds are usually found.

None block current applications, exploits, or the Homebrew Channel.

If you launch games using Gecko, only updates absolutely required to play the game will be installed, and these will not disable homebrew.

No currently released game contains an update which affects homebrew at all, other than removing BootMii/boot2 and cIOS (the later isn't supported here anyway, and isn't really anything to do with homebrew, more piracy)
