Should I update?

My firmware is 3.0e and I was wondering if it was safe to update to the newest firmware? my homebrew channel in 1.0.6 and I used hackmii installer 0.6 to install bootmii to boot2 and dvdx.

If you want to update, go ahead. It will remove Bootmii, so you will have to reinstall it after updating.

Is that all the update will do? I won't loose the homebrew channel? Will bootmii install easy againe?

The latest update was released for one purpose, to remove homebrew. It actually worked pretty well the day it was released. However, Bannerbomb and the Hackmii Installer were updated almost imediately to be compatable with 4.2.

There isn't much reason to update, but if you want to, go ahead. It won't cause any issues, as long as your wii wasn't originally Korean. It won't delete anything except the Twilight Hack, the old Homebrew Channel, the old DVDx, and Bootmii, and Bootmii can be reinstalled.
