PLEASE HELP ME!!!11

Hi i have just installed homebrew on my wii v4.2 how do i add stuff to the channel also how do i get a save game extror to work i have spent the whole day trying to do so also when its on install page it says boomii can only be installed as iso does this mean i have the wrong version of home brew?

You can get apps on the homebrew channel by downloading them from wiibrew.org and dropping them on your SD card such that the app is located in rood:\apps\appnamehere\boot.elf or boot.dol

When the HackMii installer says that BootMii can only be installed as an IOS, that simply means that your Wii is too new for it to be installed as boot2.

Ok i have downloaded the homebrew browser and saved it in the apps folder on my sd card but i cant get it to show on the Wii anywhere please can you help?

you did it wrong.

the path should be sd:\apps\homebrew_browser\boot.dol

winmaster's instructions are bad.

Ok sorry im a noob do i have to name the folder that or the path on the file?

what? make a folder on the root of your sd card called "apps" (lower case). inside that, make a folder called "homebrew_browser". Inside that, put the boot.dol from HBB.

What is the best savegame extractor to use as the ones i have tried crash my Wii :/

Savegame Manager MOD by Arikado. Google it. You'll need to install a patched IOS first. Do this by installing the oldest revision of IOS41 downloaded with NUSD and installed with WadImport. Then run Trucha Bug Restorer (TBR) and choose to run on IOS41. Choose to downgrade IOS15. Then exit TBR and start it again, this time choosing to run on IOS15. Choose to patch IOS36 and apply all patches. Exit TBR again and run it once more, choosing to run on IOS36, and then choose to restore IOS15.

Then run Savegame Manager MOD and choose to run on IOS36 and it should work perfectly.

EDIT: As you can probably see, this is NOT a simple procedure, and I advise against doing it unless you have a really good reason. There are several stages at which you could potentially screw up, and while it'd be hard to brick your Wii completely, you could get it to a stage which makes it tricky to get fully working again.

There is no one that is easy to use. As SifJar has kindly explained, my Savegame Manager MOD is the easiest to use.
