How do I update my IOS? (non-official)
(Sorry about dumb question :P)

What IOS and why do you need to update it?

There's a new rule. Talk of any IOS mods or cIOS is against forum rules. Technically, I think this qualifies.

I'm aware of the rules. We shouldn't just assume he's trying to patch an IOS or install a cIOS. Maybe he wants to install an official IOS?

I don't think he's talking about an official IOS.

I was saying maybe he wants to replace his patched [read: non-official] IOS with an unpatched one.
Or maybe he just wants to update without using the Wii System Update [non-officially].
