4.3 freeze when homebrew is installed PLEASE HELP

I was installing the channel like the guide that bg4545 has on this forum using the lego indiana jones. I can get to the screen where it says install homebrew and bootmii as an iso. When i tired to install the homebrew it ask are you sure so i pressed yes then it goes to a page the says dsi occured with a bunch of numbers, stack dump with a bunch of numbers, and code dump with a bunch of numbers and just freezes on that page. I did a little research and found that this is system dump. So what might have cause this to happen and how can I get around it. Any Suggestions. Thanks in advance for any help.

Can you show us the stack dump and the bunch of numbers, it might help us find out what is wrong.

I tired to do it again with a different sd card and still the same thing, been researching online but can not find much help. I seen on one site that I need to install the bootmii first than the homebrew, and on another that i do not need the bootmii at all. I am a little confused right now. Avoid other websites, they can give you false information. No you do not need BootMii. Try formatting you'r SD card to FAT16 or FAT32, see if that works. Also you could try this tutorial: [wiibrew.org].

I have tired formatting to fat16 and fat32 and also tired it with differnet cards and still get the same results. I have put the private folder from idiana pwns on the card and then the boot.elf from hackmii snstaller. It works fine untill I get to the install homebrew channel screen then it says installing then shows exception (DSI) occurred, stack dump, and code dump. Do not understand what I am doing wrong.

Sounds strange. I think you should post a bug report at [bugs.hackmii.com]

THEN IT JUST CRASHES

As you can see on the installer text: "Found IOS 254: revision: 0xff01*", your IOS246 is patched, that's why you get the error. You should use DOP-Mii to install unpatched IOSes over the top of the patched IOS.

IOS254 is BootMii/IOS, it SHOULD be a patched IOS, which it is, so therefore its OK. Ignore Irrlicht's comment.

I agree with SifJar it probably is a bug.

So does that mean I can not put the homebrew channel on my wii? Is there another way to do it? I have tried everything I know to try and still nothing.

You can use the Hackmii Installer which is free and easy to use. You can get it here.

That is what I was using, and it just keeps crashing when it installs. I thought of something, three days ago I upgraded the shopping channel on my wii, could that update had something in it to make the hackmii installer not work. I seen that someone else has posted on this forum using a different method and it not working either.

Can you post the FULL installer.log? I would like to take a look to the rest of your IOS.

Meanwhile, try downloading a previous version (0.7) of hackmii installer and see if you can install it. To obtain it go to [www.bootmii.org] and right click on the download link, select copy shortcut, and paste it in your browser address bar, then replace 0.8 by 0.7 in the address.

I tired the 0.7 version and got the same results. Could it be an error on my part or could it be that the wii system was patched when the shopping channel was upgraded?

It could possibly be an IOS issue. Reinstall IOS 58. If that doesn't work, uninstall IOS 58 (this is undesirable, since you would not have USB 2.0 support, but it is better than nothing).
