4.3 update?

A few months ago my sister was trying to install the Wii Speak channel, but it told her to update the Wii for her to install it. So being the impatient kid she is, she updated the Wii, and of course it removed the Homebrew channel. Not only that, but now I can't get Wii Speak or any of the Band Hero songs we have on there to work.

Will simply reinstalling the Homebrew channel fix this?

I don't think HBC should affect Wii Speak channel or Band Hero songs.

it would be an error w/ reading the sd card probaly
i have to back up my rock band 2 songs on my pc because they get corrupt somehow

Obviously not as I had Band Hero songs on the card at the same time as the HBC with no trouble. When the Wii updated to 4.3 it screwed up the card when it removed the HBC.

So why can't I access the Band Hero songs on it or use Wii Speak on it?

I don't know. But I do know that Nintendo can't corrupt your SD card with an update just for having the HBC. That would be illegal.

=___= is the boot.elf still in the root of your folder?

Yep. I've tried deleting it but that didn't seem to fix the problem.

All I care about is getting Band Hero to recognize the songs again. Then I can just back those up properly and reinstall the HBC.

Edit: Disregard that. I'm an idiot. I deleted the boot.elf file again, and loaded Band Hero again. The songs do work. The only thing I need to do now is get rid of any files left behind by the HBC in order to get rid of the 004 error code I get when trying to go to the SD Card menu from the Wii's main menu. *catches breath*

The only files left over should be in the "apps" folder, right?

SD:\private\wii\title\aktn\content.bin. Delete the aktn folder.
