Nintendo Online Services on a Wii With Homebrew

Heyya! Yesterday I installed the Homebrew Channel on my Wii, and it's awesome! But I'm worried about connecting to Nintendo internet services on it now, like the Wii Shop Channel and online games. Also, WiiConnect24. I know that I should avoid updates until a work-around is found, but do you reckon Nintendo will do bad things to my system if I just connect to those, please?

Yes, I whole heartedly agree. I'm all for individuality and all that, but I am also all for readability and not hurting peoples eyes :P

Posts have a slightly blue gradient in their backgrounds, that's why blue fonts don't help much :)

If you have Homebrew Channel version 1.0.8, all current updates for the Wii should have no ill effects. If you do use WiiConnect24, though, make sure standby is turned off, as this could lead to the wireless card inside the Wii messing up the graphics eventually.
