can't get smash stack exploit to work

I've tried to load a boot.elf and put a folder in the sd root menu as privateold and when i go to stage builder the hackmii does not load. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. any suggestions?

Did you copy the private folder to your SD card?

Delete the hackmii installer from SD as well as the RSBE folder.
