help about updating

Hello there,
recently bought an unblocked wii and I'm a completely noob about it. well, when I try to run some original games I've bought (like guitar hero hits, eg) it asks for a update, but it warns me that if any ilegal stuff has been done in the console it might screw it all. my wii is running 4.3U version. so how should I proceed? if I update it, everything will be lost?
I'm sorry, but I don't really know if it was unblocked via software or hardware, all I know is that there is a HD and I should run the games through that via uloader.
maybe someone could help me??

First off, we don't give any support regarding "backup" loading here (and considering you bought the Wii with the hard drive full of games supplied, I doubt a single one of them is a "backup").

Secondly, all updates are completely safe, except if it's an out of region game (i.e. different region to the Wii itself). It might break your warez crap, but I don't much care about that. Homebrew will still work, and the Wii won't be bricked.

Actually my point was about the original games I bought...
